Primordial Treasure - Sound Design for 3D Animation

I collaborated with my good friend, Gabe Damast, providing him a soundtrack for his surreal 3D animation entitled “Primordial Treasure”. The animation depicts a fly through of a glowing, mystical landscape riddled with mushrooms and growing crystals. The large crystals explode and shatter into a million pieces as you pass them. I designed the crystals to sound musical and ethereal. As they explode they shimmer with celestial tones and the sound of the crystal shards floating through the low gravity space.

Gabe is a very talented visual artist who regularly posts his 3D animations online. If you liked this, I highly recommend you check out his work on his website www.gabedamast.com or on his Instagram account @_sillygabe_

Gabe is also featuring this work for sale on superrare.co, a digital art collecting space where digital artists can sell their work as one-of-a-kind pieces to collectors using cryptocurrency. Somehow the artwork is tracked as a unique digital file and be resold to other collectors. I didn’t know much about this until we collaborated. It’s a really interesting approach to selling art on the internet and worth checking out. You can see our posting for this piece on superrare.co with a higher resolution here.

I had a lot of fun working on this, and I’m hoping to do more of these in the future!
